The iconic 1950s, 27-storey tower in the middle of the Shell Centre will be preserved and retained by Shell. In addition, Shell will also rent one of the new office buildings to be constructed on the site and is committed to returning its entire London workforce back to the site upon completion of the redevelopment.
Southbank Place is a mixed-use 5.25 acre site that has been master planned by architect Squire and Partners with a support team of expert architects and designers. The scheme will comprise 134,700sqm of net sales area and will be a mixed use scheme of office, residential, retail and leisure uses.
Southbank Place is a joint venture between Qatari Diar and the Canary Wharf Group, situated in a prime central London location, next to the London Eye on the south bank of the River Thames.
