The iconic 1950s, 27-storey tower in the middle of the Shell Centre will be preserved and retained by Shell, and redevelopment of the area to include luxurious residential and commercial towers.

Adjacent to the famous London Eye, directly across the River Thames from Britain’s Houses of  Parliament and ‘Big Ben’ clock tower, the Southbank Place development t – a joint venture between  Qatari Diar and the Canary Wharf Group – enjoys one of the world’s most spectacular urban views.

Its landmark feature is the iconic 1950s, 27-storey Shell Building – former European HQ of the Shell, now converted into luxury apartments. Indeed, the wider site will feature seven world-class buildings – forming a mixed-use development of 567 premium residential apartments,   retail units, offices, leisure facilities and cultural spaces.

Located among the theatres, galleries and concert halls of the South Bank, the project sits at the epicentre of London’s artistic life. And as the epitome of premium London living, the scheme is being brought to fruition by a select group of world-leading architects, engineers and designers.
